Duck Duck Goose

It has been years since I’ve paused to journal, put pen to paper, or even write a thoughtful text on my phone. As we step into the new year, the thoughts and energy surrounding change and growth feel especially present.

I’m currently reading a book entitled The Mountain Is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage into Self-Mastery. Before this year began, I made a commitment to face the different mountains in my life. This led me to reflect deeply on self-sabotaging behaviors. The one I struggle with most? My inability to be consistent.

For me, that mountain is consistency. To address it, I’ve committed to a simple plan: make a decision, set a timeframe, give it my maximum effort, and then evaluate the results when the period is over.

In this phase of my life, I’m truly challenging myself—exploring movement, and fitness, and stepping into spaces of adventure. Deep down, I desire to live a life filled with freedom, excitement, and abundance. And so, I dare to ask you the same questions I’m asking myself:

What is the one mountain you’ve been circling for years, attempting to conquer, yet always retreating to your comfort zone?

What is the mountain that has eluded you—one that, if you scaled it, could open the door to something truly transformative?

But what would it look like for you to bet on yourself? What would it mean to show up for yourself every day? How could you embrace consistency in order to move forward toward your goals?

I encourage you to take a moment and reflect. Identify your mountain. Break it down into manageable steps. Commit to the process.

This year is an opportunity for transformation, and I wish you all the best as you step into your journey. Let’s do it—together.
